This collection includes the following: 1890s J1 “Beautiful Birds of America” Carolina Turtle Dove, medium card p. “Useful Birds of America”: 1915 J5, five large cards; 1918 J6 Second Series, two large cards; 1922 J7 Third Series, six large cards and eight small; 1924 J8 Fourth Series, one large card; 1938 J9-6 Tenth Series, two cards. These cards average p to p-f. 1924 Imperial Tobacco of Canada “Railway Engines,” 19 different averaging vg-ex. 1938-40 T87 Wings Cigarettes “Modern American Airplanes,” nine cards, eight from the original series and one from the B series. All have back damage. P, with fronts that average g. Circa 1939 R92 Gum Inc. “Movie Stars,” Bette Davis vg-ex and Dorothy Lamour p. 20 1940s Leaf “Card-O Playing Cards.” Almost all of these cards depict airplanes, and 13 are from the 1944 “Mixed Series.” One is from Series A, four from Series B, and two from Series C. All have scrap book residue on the back, back damage, or both. Almost all of the descriptions are readable.
