Lot 280. Dave Anderson Signed “In the Corner: Great Boxing Trainers Talk About Their Art.” Nm-m 8 title page personalized autograph by Anderson, Pulitzer Prize winning sports writer. Red Smith is the only other writer to win the award for sports commentary. From 1966-2007, Anderson was the sports columnist at the “New York Times.” In this book, he provides an inside look at boxing from the perspective of such trainers as Angelo Dundee, Ray Arcel and Eddie Futch. A stated first edition hardback, it is ex-m in a similar dust jacket. It is relatively scarce, and the value of this copy is enhanced by the autograph of one of the best sports writers ever.
