Lot 278. 1925 W529-1 Boxing Set of 10 Cards Including Jack Dempsey and a W529-6 Card. The set consists of #1 Dundee f (uneven right border), 2 Carpentier p, 3 O’Dowd (chipped upper right corner; otherwise) g-vg, 4 Beckett (trimmed to 1 ¼” x 2 3/8”) vg appearance as trimmed, 5 Tendler p, 6 Fulton g-vg, 7 Benny Leonard p+, 8 Britton (writing on back) f-g front, 9 Dempsey p-f and 10 Kilbane g+. Carpentier is the subject of the W529-6 card, which is trimmed to 1 ¼” x 2 3/8. As trimmed, it has a g appearance.
