Lot 178. Circa 1910 PC798-6 Comic Postcard Partial Set by P. Crosby – 9 of 12 Cards. These cards offer humorous sepia drawings on cream-colored stock that has an embossed border. The titles are “A Nice Little Single for an Old Bat,” “A Triple Steal,” “Brought Home with a Hit,” “He Bit at Every Ball,” “He Made a Hit and Got Two Bags,” “Hitting the Old Drops,” “Out on Three Strikes,” “Second Baseman Made a Swell Catch” and “The Ball Went Through the Short-Stop.” The backs have never encountered a postage or postmark stamp.
