Lot 261. Muhammad Ali Autographed “I Am King.” Ali added an nm-m 8 signature to the first page inside this 128-page1975 magazine-format photographic biography by David King. The 8.5” x 11” page proclaims, in red type on a yellow background, “Ali boma ye!” The translation from the Lingala language of Zaire is “Ali kill him,” which is what the crowd chanted as Ali entered the ring from the “Rumble in the Jungle” with George Foreman. The magazine is vg-ex with a scuff on the front cover. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. A JSA Auction Letter of Authenticity is also provided; it can be exchanged at a discount for a full JSA LoA.
