Lot 1.  1942 Red Sox Team-Issued Picture Pack Set of 25 with Jimmie Foxx and Ted Williams. The Williams and Foxx photos are both ex-m+. The rest of the set averages ex-m+ to nm and includes Joe Cronin, Dom DiMaggio and Bobby Doerr. The original envelope is present.

Lot 2.  12 Baseball Legends Single-Signed Balls Including Williams, Musial and 5 Other HoFers. Unless otherwise noted, the autographs are nm 7 to nm-m 8 or better on the sweet spots of official baseballs that have strong printed areas and light to moderate scattered discoloration. For each autograph, we have listed the type of ball. Kevin Keating authenticated the signatures by: Sandy Alomar, Jr. (ex 5 signature, nm B. Brown ball), Bill Buckner (nm 7 signature, Feeney), Ford C. Frick Award recipient Ernie Harwell (ex 5 signature, strong, almost all letters slightly smudged; B. Brown ball), Denny McLain (nm Official Little League ball), Johnny Mize (nm off-white MacPhail ball), Stan Musial (Feeney), Gaylord Perry (signed panel, B. Brown), Bill Pulsipher (nm-m Coleman), Robin Roberts (nm-m Feeney), Duke Snider (Feeney), Willie Stargell (Feeney), and Ted Williams (MacPhail).

Lot 3.  8” x 10” Color Photo Signed by Sidney Crosby. Mint 9 to gem mint 10 Crosby autograph on a photo showing him alongside Roberto Luongo. Both wear Team Canada Olympic jerseys. Crosby added his number “87” beneath the signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 4.  Autographs of Army Football Stars Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis on Index Cards. Together, they were known as the “Touchdown Twins,” and they won back-to-back Heisman Trophies. Blanchard, “Mr. Inside,” was named the nation’s top college player in 1945, and Davis, “Mr. Outside,” captured the award in 1946. They led Army to three consecutive national championships. Their coach, Red Blaik, called Blanchard “the quickest starter I ever saw” and Davis, “the greatest halfback I ever knew.” Davis died in 2005, and Blanchard, 2009. Their signatures are gem mint 10 on separate unlined index cards, which are accompanied by two modern photos, each showing the Army backfield heroes. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 5.  Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris and Chuck Noll Autographs on a John Stallworth Jersey. The three Hall of Fame Steelers signed the numbers on the back of the size large jersey. All three signers were members of the Steelers’ four Super Bowl championship teams in the 1970s. Their autographs are nm-m 8 and have been authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 6.  Bold Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier Autographs on a “Sports Illustrated” Cover. Ali and Frazier are pictured on the cover of the Sept. 15, 1975 issue with promoter Don King, the subject of an article inside. When two of boxing’s best heavyweights met two weeks later in the Philippines, Ali scored a TKO and retained his world heavyweight title. Both Ali and Frazier placed bold signatures on the cover of the magazine. Both autographs are mint 9 to gem mint 10. Kevin Keating authenticated the signatures. A JSA Auction Letter of Authenticity is also provided; it can be exchanged at a discount for a full JSA LoA. Frazier passed away in 2011.

Lot 7.  First Edition of “The Fight” Signed by Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. The signatures of these Hall of Fame heavyweight champions are on the title page of the Norman Mailer 1975 stated first edition. Both are mint 9. Mailer’s book deals with the “Rumble in the Jungle,” the 1974 title bout between Ali and George Foreman in Zaire in 1974. The hardback book is ex in an ex dust jacket. Kevin Keating authenticated the signatures. A JSA Auction Letter of Authenticity is also provided; it can be exchanged at a discount for a full JSA LoA. Frazier died in 2011.

Lot 8.  Hank Greenberg 1940s-40s Hillerich & Bradsby 40 Louisville Slugger 16” Mini Bat. Strong example with Greenberg’s name displayed boldly in gold. Nm.

Lot 9.  Photos of Babe Ruth Chopping Wood and Holding His Daughter in 1924. The photos are part of an “Associated News Service” poster titled “Babe Ruth Gathers Muscle for 1925” and dated Dec. 17. The 14” x 17” poster was folded twice for mailing; the horizontal fold is reinforced on the blank back with tape. Otherwise, it has edge tears, chips and creases. The image area displays well with an ex appearance.

Lot 10.  Secretariat Triple Crown Photos Signed by Jockey Ron Turcotte. Nice group of three photos marking the 1973 Triple Crown achievement of Secretariat and Turcotte. They were the first Triple Crown winners in 25 years. One modern 8”x 10” photo each from the Belmont Stakes, the Preakness and the Kentucky Derby, including an excellent head-on shot of Secretariat in the stretch at Belmont. Each photo is signed by Turcotte. Nm photos with gem mint 10 signatures. Secretariat was named the 35th best athlete of the 20th century by ESPN, and 81st by Associated Press. Turcotte has been inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame and the Canada Sports Hall of Fame. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
