Lot 133. Letter Signed by E. J. (Buzzie) Bavasi, Baseball Executive, on Brooklyn Dodgers Stationery. Bavasi was the Dodgers general manager, in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, from 1951-68. With Bavasi in charge, the Dodgers won eight National League pennants and four world championships. Later, he was the San Diego Padres’ first general manager. He also played an important role in integrating minor league baseball. Bavasi’s signature is nm-m 8 to mint 9 on a 1955 letter that transmits a Dodgers cap to a fan. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
