Lot 271. 4 Original 1830s-60s Salt Prints – Edward Bates, P. T. G Beauregard and Horace Greeley. The subjects of these uncommon vintage photos are Edward Bates, Abraham Lincoln’s U.S. Attorney General; P. G. T. Beauregard, a U.S. Military Academy graduate and a Confederate general in the Civil War; Horace Greeley, an influential newspaper editor and slavery opponent; and an unidentified man believed to be a member of Congress. Ex-m.
