Tom Mix 1936 F5 Dixie Premium.
Lot 284. Tom Mix 1936 F5 Dixie Premium. Few issues, sports or non-sport, are more striking than the premiums that Dixie Ice Cream produced in the mid-1930s-40s. This premium has a portrait of Mix on the front. On the back are four images from his movie “The Miracle Rider.” An excellent rider and marksman, Mix was the national Riding and Rodeo champion in 1909. Subsequently, he became the first of the western-movie superstars, appearing in more than 300 films. “The Miracle Rider” turned out to be his last movie appearance. The premium, with two punch holes as issued, grades vg-ex and looks better.
Winning Bid $61.
