Lot 283. 10 1935 Dixie Premiums, 3 1937 and a 1941 Front Cover - Cooper, Gable, Lombard, Etc. Twenty-nine 9” x 11” premiums make up the 1935 set. In 1937, Dixie reduced the set to 24 and the size of the premiums to 8” x 10”. Each premium in the 1935 set has a yellow border on the left side and five b&w pictures on the back: Gary Cooper g, Jackie Cooper vg, Kay Francis vg, Ruby Keeler g-vg, Carole Lombard g-vg, Myrna Loy g-vg, Ken Maynard vg, Col. Tim McCoy vg-ex, Dick Powell f and Barbara Stanwyck vg-ex. The 1937 premiums have a dark green border on the left and four b&w photos on the back: Clark Gable vg-ex, Myrna Loy vg and Merle Oberon g. The Gable premium has four punch holes in the left border in addition to the two placed there by Dixie; also, tape on back. The Loy premium has two extra holes. The cover for the 1941 Dixie album, “My Scrapbook of Stars,” shows five different cartoon figures. It has a small area of paper loss in the upper right.
