Lot 17.  1933 Player & Sons “Derby and Grand National Winners” Set of 50 Cards. This is the standard set, not the transfers. The cards picture Derby winners (British) from 1908-32 and Grand National victors from 1907-32. This set averages vg-ex. Winning Bid $25.

Lot 18.  1936 Gallaher “Sporting Personalities” Set and 2 Horse Racing Sets. Each set has 48 cards and grades vg+ to ex overall. The “Sporting Personalities” set includes Lord Derby, Aga Khan, J. B. Hobbs and Kid Berg. The two other sets are 1936 “Famous Jockeys” and 1938 “Racing Scenes.” The “Scenes” set depicts horse races and related activities, including gypsies and a “Donkey Derby.” Winning Bid $25.
