Lot 334. Mike Piazza ’53 Lithograph by James Fiorentino. Possibly the best-hitting catcher in baseball history, Piazza hit more home runs than any other catcher, 396. He belted 31 homers at other positions, for a total of 427. The 1993 Rookie of the Year, he batted .308 for his career, was a 12-time All-Star and earned 10 Silver Slugger awards. Piazza’s portrait, in the style of Topps’ 1953 baseball cards, is signed by the artist and numbered 119 of 600. It is 18” x 25”, carefully rolled and nm-m to mint.
