Lot 213.  Roger Bannister Autographed Photo. The 8” x 10” b&w photo captures Bannister breaking the four-minute mile. On May 6, 1954, Bannister became the first person to run a mile in less than four minutes. Strong sharpie autograph with “Roger” lightly smudged. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 214.  Michael Johnson Autographed Aug. 12, 1996 “Time” Magazine. Johnson made history in Atlanta in 1996 by becoming the first male to won both the 200 and 400-meter events at the same Olympics. During the 1990s, he won four gold medals at the Olympics and captured eight world championships. He still holds the 400-meter world record and has 27 of the top 100 times for the event. His autograph, which is large and bold, is very slightly smudged. The magazine, which does not have a label, is ex+. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 215.  Autograph of Bob Mathias, 1948 and 1952 Olympics Decathlon Gold Medalist. In 1948, Mathias became the youngest competitor to win the Olympics decathlon. He played football for Stanford, and in 1952, he became the first person to play in the Rose Bowl and compete in the Olympics in the same year. From 1967-75, he represented a California district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He passed away in 2006. His signature on a biographical index card grades mint 9. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
