Lot 260. Dodgers “Blue Books,” 1960s Yearbooks, 1965 W.S. Program and Books – This collection includes a nm 1965 Dodgers World Series program. LA defeated Minnesota in seven games. The yearbooks are for 1963 (Wills on the cover), 1966 (Alston), 1967, 1968 (Koufax, Alston, Drysdale and others), 1971, 1973, 1975 (Garvey), 1976, 1977 and 1981. The yearbook for 1963 is vg+ to ex, while 1967, 1968, 1971 and 1975 are ex-m+ to nm-m. The 1966 yearbook shows light wrinkling from water, and the four others exhibit wrinkles and stains. The “Blue Books,” which contain a wealth of historical information, cover 1978-93, 1996-99, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005. The issues for 1999 and later also contain the “Baby Blue Casebook.” The 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1985 and 1986 issues are ex. The “Blue Books” for 1979 and 1982 are vg-ex; the 1984 edition has a torn cover and otherwise is vg+. The publications for 1987 and later average nm. There also are three books: “The Los Angeles Dodgers” by Richard Whittingham, 1982 stated first edition hardback, nm book, vg-ex dust jacket. “A Day in the Season of the Los Angeles Dodger,” Tom Zimmerman, 1990 apparent first edition hardback, nm book, vg+ dj. And “The Dodgers Move West,” Neil J. Sullivan, 1987 paperback, ex-m, owner’s name inside. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).
