Lot 155. Scarce Copy of Nellie Fox’s Biography with Signatures of the Authors and Mrs. Fox. This self-published 2000 softcover is difficult to find. Titled “Little Nel: The Nellie Fox Story,” it was written by David Gough and Jim Bard and has a foreword by Joanne Fox, Nellie’s widow. Both Gough and Bard are members of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). They signed a letter asking a writer to review the book. Mrs. Fox signed the foreword. The 326-page book, which is decently illustrated with photos, has creases in the upper corners. Otherwise, the book is clean and desirable because of its scarcity and the autographs.
