Lot 275. 4 Texas Rangers Pro Model Bats – Porter, O’Brien, Fletcher and Harrah. Also, a Jeff Burroughs store model bat. These bats seem to be from years in which the five players took the field for the Rangers. Here are the particulars: Darrell Porter, 34” P72 model, his #17 on the knob, pine tar on the handle, end hollowed out, wear on Porter’s foil facsimile, some dead wood on the barrel, 1986-89. Toby Harrah, 34” C243 model, dark brown, cracked handle, substantial use, 1985. Pete O’Brien, 34” S2 model, his #9 on the knob, ball marks, 3.5” x 1” section of wood out of the back of the barrel, 1980-83. Scott Fletcher, 34” S238 model, his #1 on the knob, tape on the handle, which has a minor crack, rack marks, light use, 1980-83. Jeff Burroughs: Store model, 33”, O16, tape on the handle, moderate to heavy wear on the logo, some dead wood, probably 1970s.
