 Lot 161. Billie Jean King Large, Bold Autographs on a Wilson Tennis Racquet and Cover. A member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, King remains one of the most widely recognized players in the history of the sport. She won 12 Grand Slam singles titles, including Wimbledon six times, 16 Grand Slam women’s doubles titles, and 11 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles. Above her autograph on the racquet cover, which is a 10, she wrote “Go for it!” The racquet cover houses a Wilson 4 3/8 Hammer 110 graphite matrix racquet that King signed along the side. These King signatures area nice as you’re likely to find. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

 Lot 162. Billie Jean King Signed World Team Tennis 8” x 10” Color Photo. King and Lawrence King, who was her husband then, joined several other individuals to establish the World Team Tennis Professional Tennis League in 1974. It ceased competition after the 1978 season. It resurfaced in 1981 as Team Tennis, and then reverted to WTT in 1992. King served as commissioner of the league from 1984-2001. Her autograph is a 10. The photo displays decently despite a variety of creases. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
