Lot 3. OAL Baseball Signed by 3 New York Yankees Perfect-Game Pitchers and Their Catchers. The most famous of the perfect-game hurlers, Don Larsen, signed the sweet spot of the Budig ball along with catcher Yogi Berra. Larsen added the date he pitched the only World Series perfect game – “10-8-56” – against the Brooklyn Dodgers. With Jorge Posada catching, David Wells faced only 27 Minnesota Twins on May 17, 1998. He and Posada autographed the north panel, and Wells added the date. The most recent of the three perfect games was by Dave Cone on July 18, 1999 against the Montreal Expos. He signed the south panel and added the date: his catcher, Joe Girardi, also signed. The signatures are 9s and 10s on an nm-m ball that shows light toning. Rare! Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
