Lot 121. Shirley Povich Signed Copy of All These Mornings. Today, Povich may be best known as the father of television’s Morey Povich. He is more appropriately remembered, however, as the widely respected sports reporter and columnist for the Washington Post. In this autobiographical book, Povich provides stories spanning two world wars, with a depression between. The 1969 hardcover book, which grades vg to vg+, is an apparent first edition. The dust jacket is absent. Povich, whose signature is scarce, signed the flyleaf. The signature is a gem mint 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Society for American Baseball Research.
