Lot 141. Original Large Poster for the 1953 Movie Crazylegs Starring HoFer Elroy Hirsch. An All-American football star at Wisconsin, Hirsch plays himself in the biographical film. It follows him from high school through Wisconsin and military service to the Los Angeles, where he had a Hall of Fame career as a halfback and end for the Rams. The 14” x 36” movie poster pictures Hirsch and Rams teammates Tom Fears, Dick Daugherty, Leon McLaughlin, Don Paul and Larry Brink, as well as co-stars Joan Vohs and Lloyd Nolan. The poster displays well with three horizontal folds, two pin holes, a small hole and tear in the upper right, a number of creases and some edge tears. Colorful and attractive piece of football and movie memorabilia.
