Lot 139. Circa 1940s Philip Morris Cigarettes Point-of-Purchase Football Display. This colorful 21” x 28” in-store ad has Johnny Roventini, the Philip Morris bellhop, signaling a touchdown as a player crosses the goal line with a pack of the company’s cigarettes. The cardboard display has an unused easel on the back and water damage that is not evident on the front. From the front, the display is bowed, primarily to Roventini’s left, and there are creases there and in the upper left corner and in the lower left, a couple of small scuffs and some tiny surface imperfections. Bright and bold football scene!
