Lot 10.  Cincinnati Reds 1961-63 Square White Base Bobbing Head in the Original Box. Nm-m doll with a Mr. Redlegs head in an unabused box with the label at an angle and tape used to close the box. Only the Pirates and Houston Colt .45s (blue uniform) are tougher to come by in this set. This example is outstanding!

Lot 11.  3 Cincinnati Reds Bobbing Heads - 1963-65 Green Base, 1966-71 Gold Base, Etc. The green and gold-base bobbles have Mr. Redlegs heads. The green-base version has two chips on the mascot’s hat, and a couple of additional chips on the under side of his head. A decal on the under side of the base carries a 1962 date and a Japanese patent number. The gold-base bobble lacks “Cincinnati” on the base. It shows some soiling, and the spring is exposed. On the bottom, it is stamped “1968 Made in Japan.” The third bobbing head is plastic from the 1970s, has a boy’s head and is nm.

Lot 58.  12 Different 1909-11 T206 Cards Featuring Cincinnati Reds. The players are Bescher (hands in air) vg, Campbell vg, Downey (fielding) vg, Dubuc vg, Egan vg, Ewing vg, Hoblitzell vg-ex, Karger vg+, Lobert g-vg, Oakes g-vg, Paskert vg and Spade vg. Nine Piedmont backs, and three Sweet Caporal backs.

Lot 181.  15 Baseballs Signed by Cincy Reds – Anderson, Bench, Perez, Seaver, Rose, Etc. Excellent collection of one-time Cincinnati Reds. Unless otherwise noted, these autographs are mint 9s and gem mint 10s, single-signed on official A.L., N.L. or MLB baseballs. Lot 208.  Cincinnati Reds First Three Yearbooks - 1947-49. The 1947 yearbook, which has Bucky Walters and Ewell Blackwell on the cover, is rare and vg-ex; there is a 1” split at the top of the spine. Rookie Ted Kluszewski is among the players pictured. The 1948 (vg) and 1949 (vg+, owner’s name inside) also are uncommon. These three offerings are the key to a Reds yearbook collection.

Lot 209.  Run of 41 Cincinnati Reds Yearbooks - 1951-91. The Reds did not issue a yearbook in 1950. This run is complete from 1951 through 1991. The 1951 and 1952 editions are comparatively scarce. They grade, respectively, vg and ex with a corner crease. Other issues from the 1950s grade: 1953 (the Reds are now the Red Stockings) ex, 1954 (yearbook pictures Chuck Harmon and Nino Escalera, the team’s first African-American players) vg, 1955 (the Red Stockings become the Redlegs) g+, 1956 (Frank Robinson and Curt Flood yearbook debut) ex-m, 1957 ex-m+, 1958 g-vg, and 1959 (the Reds are back) vg. From the early 1960s: 1960 vg, 1961 nm, 1962 ex-m+ (1/4” split at top of spine), 1963 (Pete Rose debut) vg and 1964 vg+. Issues from 1965-91 are generally nm or better with a few less. HoFers in the pre-printed lineups are Roush, Rixey, Carey, Traynor and Maranville. 1930, vs. Boston, two panels, neatly scored, vg+. 1947, vs. St. Louis, four panels, vg. 1948, vs. the Giants, 16 pages, small cover tear, otherwise vg-ex. 1949, vs. Giants, 12 pages, Ted Kluszewski profiled, scored, ex. 1950, vs. Giants, eight pages, Ewell Blackwell profiled, partially scored, vg. 1957, vs. Phils, two panels, scored, ex. 1960, vs. Pittsburgh, vg+ to ex.
