6 1926-29 Postcard-Back Exhibit Cards – All HoFers, One Apparently Uncataloged.
Lot 67. 6 1926-29 Postcard-Back Exhibit Cards – All HoFers, One Apparently Uncataloged. The card of Paul Waner is a sepia portrait with a plain background. It appears to be checklisted only with the photo background. Like the five other cards, the Waner has writing on the back, typically “XXX” in pen; some have a small amount of additional writing. The front of the Waner card is g. The front of the Simmons card, also sepia, is g-vg. Cards of Cochrane, Klein, Traynor and Hack Wilson, all printed in dark violet, have impressions from two or six letters in pencil on the front and grade f-g. With the backs taken into consideration, all six cards grade p-f or f. All six are uncommon, and they display far better than the grades indicate.
Winning Bid $134.
