Lot 240. 6 Early 1900s Baseball Bats – Cracker Jack, Spaldling “League,” Winner, Etc. The Cracker Jack No. 02 “Special” bat from Hillerich & Bradsby is about 28 ¾” long and vg with wear on the “J” and “k” in the logo. H&B is the source of two other bats, a 32” Liberty No. PGH “Official Playground Hickory” model, strong engravings and chips on the knob and end, and a 32 ½” “League AA” model, ex. Goldsmith of Cincinnati produced the 31 ¾” 300% Class 86 “Hickory Playground” bat, vg with strong impressions, and Winner, the 1930s No. 90 “Regulation” 33” model. The sixth bat is the 34 ½” Spalding “League 100” model, vg-ex with the Spalding logo on the knob, tape on the handle and a couple of dark areas in the wood.
