Lot 169. Hank Greenberg Signed Photo Postcard Showing Him as a Pittsburgh Pirate. After a Hall of Fame career with Detroit, Greenburg played a final season in 1947 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. With the fences shortened to create “Greenberg Gardens,” the slugging outfielder blasted 25 home runs, but his batting average slipped to just .249, well below his career .313. Greenberg entered the Hall of Fame in 1956. He died in 1986. His signature is an unimprovable bold 10 on an unused ex-m postcard. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
