Lot 237. Autograph of Tom Lombardo, QB and Captain of Army’s 1944 Undefeated Team. Featuring Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard, the 1944 Cadets captured the national championship while crushing nine opponents and outscoring them 504-35. Lombardo died in Korea in 1950 while leading his men in an assault on an enemy position. He was only 27. His autograph is highly coveted but exceedingly rare.
