1933 Washington at New York World Series Program Scored for Game 2.

Lot 214. 1933 Washington at New York World Series Program Scored for Game 2. The Giants’ Hal Schumacher limited the Senators to five hits in a 6-1 win that gave New York a two-game lead in the series. The Giants captured the World Championship in five games; only the first two games were played at the Polo Grounds. The 20-page oversized (9 ¼” x 11”) program is neatly scored. It was vertically folded and has a ¼” tears along the top and bottom edges, a tiny corner chip on the front and creases in the corners. The covers and pages are clean. The pages picture a host of Hall of Fame players and executives: Bill Terry, Carl Hubbell, Mel Ott, Travis Jackson, Joe Cronin, Heine Manush, Goose Goslin, Sam Rice, Judge Landis, William Harridge, John McGraw and Clark Griffith. Moe Berg, Nick Altrock and Al Schacht are also shown with the Senators. The front cover displays well with excellent period graphics.
Winning Bid $150.
