Inside, the book presents the 1888 N.L. and AA schedules and an 11-page history of baseball beginning in the 1840s. The Giants are then represented by woodcut photos and biographies of manager Jim Murtrie and 19 players, including John Ward, Tim Keefe, Mickey Welch, Buck Ewing, Roger Connor and James O’Rourke. Seventeen members of the Brooklyn club are featured, including Bob Carruthers, Dave Orr and Dave Foutz. The bottom outside corners of the first 30 pages have been either chipped or turned up (creased). The text is unaffected, and the pages otherwise are generally clean and attractive. Seldom seen and well worth our
