Lot 239. Late 19th to Early 20th Century Photo of a Men’s Tennis Team. This 9 ½” x 11” photo on a 13” x 16” mount shows 11 young men, two holding trophies and a third, a tennis racquet. The mount may actually be a page from an oversized book. The surnames of the players are listed in pen on the mount. Three players wear jackets with the intials “OU,” which could signify Ohio University. The focus and contrast of the photo are outstanding. Nm photo on a vg-ex mount.
