Lot 350. Circa 1889 A9 Allen & Ginter “Game Birds of America” Album. The bird paintings used here are especially elaborate and ornate. Many of the birds are shown in flight or in motion. The artwork surrounding the cards is impressive. Geo. S. Harris & Sons was the lithographer. The same paintings are used in the N13 and N40 card sets. The album, labeled “Second Edition,” shows paper loss on the outside front and back covers. The inside pages, bound by the original string, are vg+ to ex with a small, light crease in the lower right corner.
