Ruth illustrates an article on home run distance and is pictured three additional times in the guide’s 50 pages covering the 1921 World Series. The Giants captured the World Championship by topping the Yankees, 5 games to 3, in the first All-New York World Series. A host of other Hall of Fame members are pictured, including Huggins, Stengel, McGraw, Ruppert, Ban Johnson, Landis, Bancroft, Frisch and Hoyt. The guide, which runs almost 400 pages, also contains a section on each major league team and each of the minor leagues. This is a very nice copy of the guide, vg-ex, with the owner’s name in the lower left of the front cover.
