Lot 442.  1935 Bismarck, ND, National Semi-Pro Champs Reprint Photo with Satchel Paige. “That was the best team I ever saw; the best players I ever played with. Besides Paige, the integrated team included Barney Morris, Hilton Smith, Double Duty Radcliffe, Red Haley and Quincy Trouppe from the Negro Leagues. Unsurprisingly, the team went undefeated for the entire 1935 season, winning the first Semi-Pro National Baseball Championship at Wichita, Kansas. A postcard-sized original image of this team can bring $1,000 or more. This high-quality nm-m reprint, 10 7/8” x 17 7/8” on photo paper and suitable for framing, could be yours for our MB $25.
Minimum Bid $25.

He started off his rookie season with a bang, hitting eight homeruns in his first 10 games. In the next 62 games, he hit only four homers. After the 1951 season, the San Francisco native returned home and joined the police force. His circa 1950 photo is 4” x 5” with creases in the bottom right corner and several tack holes in the border. G-vg with a strong sepia image. The Maz photo, probably from the early 1960s, is b&w, 8” x 10” and shows evidence of press use on the back. Vg+ to ex.
Winning Bid $40.
