Sept. 1, 1941 Life, classic full-page b&w photo of a young Williams, no label, vg-ex. 2. 1942 Major League Baseball from Whitman Publishing, vg+ to ex. 3. Oct. 5, 1946 Liberty. Ex-m with address label. Uncommon. 4. Oct. 15, 1946 Look, great cover photo by Frank Bauman, four-page article, vg. 5. June 1956 Original Baseball Magazine, vg-ex. 6. March 2, 1957 The Saturday Evening Post, with Norman Rockwell’s “The Rookie” artwork including Williams. Inside article explains that Williams could not make the modeling session, and a local ball player, Sherman Safford, was his stand-in. Couple of holes toward the bottom; vg-ex otherwise. 7. 1958 Dell Sports Baseball Stars, vg+ to ex. 8. July 1962 Sports’ Cavalcade, with “Ted William’s … Last Day in Baseball, 1960” cover, vg+. 9-18. Nine different ads, average size 10 ½” x 13 ½”, generally full pages, most in color, including: Havoline, Post Sugar Crisp, Johnson’s Auto Wax, Chesterfield and Lucky Strike.
