1950s Victor Vending Football Gum Machine.
Lot 128. 1950s Victor Vending Football Gum Machine. For 1 cent, this vintage vendor dispensed a gumball and allowed the purchaser to play a game by catapulting the ball to achieve a Touchdown, Field Goal or Off Side. The gumball was then dispensed to the player through a corridor with a metal front flap. The vertical playing surface is arched, about 6” in width and 6 ½” high. Period graphics on the playing surface include a football field and two players in action poses. This vending machine is original and in good working order. The case, 8 ½” wide x 8 ½” deep x 13 ¾” high, is made of wood, and the front is glass and steel. The machine shows use, but not abuse, with only a few small chips at the top of the left side panel and some inoffensive scratches and wear on metal portions. It opens with two keys provided. Obviously rare and very desirable.
Winning Bid $200.
