It is worth noting that #47, the Roger Maris rookie, looks far better than the grade indicates. The image is strong, and the card is free of creases and nicely centered. Unfortunately, “Cleveland Indians” has been crossed out with blue ballpoint and “K.C. Athletics” has been written on the bottom border, and then covered with white-out. Similarly, the #150 Mickey Mantle card has nice eye appeal. It too is nicely centered, the image of Mantle is strong and there is only one light inoffensive crease at the left border. Unfortunately, someone has traced around Mantle’s ear with blue ballpoint.
