Lot 189. Rare 1910 Turkey Red Cigarettes Store Advertisement. From the tobacco company that brought us the fabulous T3 cabinet cards comes this early Turkey Red Cigarette promotional display, which was most likely issued to stores already framed to hang and inspire better sales. Measuring 13” x 17, it is in the original 16” x 20” frame. Issued one in exchange for every 10 coupons from Turkey Red cigarette packs, T3s continue to be regarded as the most visually appealing sets ever produced. This advertisement is in beautiful shape, with just one or two tiny blemishes visible in the upper right as it resides in its original mission oak frame. This advertisement would punctuate any early baseball collection.

Lot 192. 1930 Pie-Eyed Mickey Mouse Catching. The bisque is approximately 3 ¼” tall. Almost 100% of the paint is present. Impressed into the bisque is “Walt E. Disney” and “Made in Japan.” It is among the most desirable of the early Mickey Mouse figures.

Lot 289. 1956 “Elvis Presley Original Hat” with Hang Tag by Elvis Presley Enterprises. A superb, vintage Elvis collectible, this size “Large” hat is both colorful and scarce. A 3”-wide strip above the rim features three artist’s renderings of Elvis performing. An ice cream sundae is also pictured alongside the words “Tutti Frutti.” Other songs represented are “Hound Dog,” “Heart Break Hotel,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Shake Rattle And Roll” and “I Want You I Need You I Love You.” The artwork is striking and largely unaffected by light soiling. The 3 1/8” x 3 ¾” vg hang tag is included. On its front, the text reads “An Elvis Presley Original Hat manufactured exclusively by Magnet Hat and Cap Corp. 147 W. 22nd Street New York 11 N.Y. copyright 1956 Elvis Presley Enterprises All Rights Reserved.” A black and white photo of Elvis with facsimile signature is on the back.

This clip-style metal key chain features an image of Elvis on a dog tag, which says “Presley, Elvis 53310761 Type O” and his facsimile signature. The vg cardboard display holder has an artist’s rendering of Elvis along with musical notes and phonograph records. Text on the holder provides a 1956 copyright by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Lot 293. 3 Different Vintage Tom Mix Cigar Box Labels. A star of early western movies, Mix was featured in more than 300 films between 1910 and 1935. The vast majority of these films were silent. These gorgeous labels feature powerful colors and exceptional period artwork. A navy blue background surrounds the raised portrait of Mix, who wears a red and gold scarf and white cowboy hat. This image appears on each label. The largest of the three labels measures 10 ¼” x 6 ¼”, and in raised bold red letters with gold border, “Tom Mix” appears below his portrait. Ex. The second label is about 4 ¼” x 5 ¼”. Mix’s portrait is inside a circle with a gold border on a black background. “Tom Mix” is in bold red letters with gold borders on a yellow background above his portrait. The entire border of the label is also gold. An ex-m to nm stunner. The third label, about 2” x 2 ¾”, is vg-ex and in the shape of a sheriff’s badge. The border is gold and “Tom Mix” appears in bold white letters with gold border above his portrait. Three beautiful period pieces that are legitimate works of art in their own right.

Lot 294. 1930s Bisque Mickey and Minnie Mouse Band – Complete Set of 4. The set features 4 different bisque figurines, two of Mickey and two of Minnie. Each is approximately 3 ½” tall. 1. Mickey Mouse with drum. Virtually 100% of the paint is present. Engraved, “Mickey Mouse” and “Made in Japan.” 2. Mickey Mouse with Horn. About 98% of the paint is present. Also engraved, “Mickey Mouse” and “Made in Japan.” 3. Minnie Mouse with Mandolin. Virtually 100% of the paint is present. Engraved, “Minnie Mouse” and “Made in Japan.” 4. Minnie Mouse with Accordion. About 85% to 90% of the paint is present. Also engraved, “Minnie Mouse” and “Made in Japan. Both Minnie figures have repairs at the neck that are difficult to see, and one ear of the Mandolin Minnie appears to have had a very small chip that was repaired. Only 1657 band sets were ever produced. This one is exceptionally clean, with superb paint retention and free of chipping.

Lot 296. 1930 Amos & Andy Light Cardboard Die-Cut Figures by Pepsodent. These two remarkable figures are not only colorful and striking; they are also exceptional examples of period artwork. A smiling 7 ½” x 4” Amos, who is about to pet a dog, is pictured with bank book in his vest pocket, tattered shirt and patched pants. Andy, who measures 8 ½” x 4”, wears a sport coat, vest and hat and has a cigar in his left hand and a cane in his right. Both figures were intended to be folded back in order to allow them to stand. Each carries a 1930 Pepsodent (toothpaste) copyright. Technically vg-ex due to some light inoffensive creasing, the figures are very clean and sharp. They display magnificently.

Lot 298. Tootsietoy 1937 Buck Rogers MK 24 L Venus Duo-Destroyer Space Ship. This 4 ¾” metal space ship, which retains approximately two-thirds of its original paint, is a piece of Sci-Fi history. It captures the character and charm of early Sci-Fi space fantasy. A small portion of the nose and the bottom portion of the tail fin are missing. Raised metal lettering on each side of the ship reads “Buck Rogers Venus Duo-Destroyer MK 24 L.”

Each of these vintage items possesses wonderful character. 1. 1939 Better Little Book The Lone Ranger and the Red Renegades. Exceptional full-color period artwork graces the cover of this 424-page book published by Whitman. Vg-ex. 2. 1954 Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Double R Bar Ranch Lunchbox. The colorful “Red Band” version of this metal lunchbox features Roy atop Trigger with Dale smiling and waving in the background. The box shows use but not abuse. In spite of a number of scratches and rust spots, it retains a very pleasing appearance. 3. 1950s Red Ranger Tin Toy Gun by MARX with accompanying Holster. This 8” gun displays some rust and great graphics. The holster is an absolute classic.
