Bound Volumes of The New York Times for Parts of 1921, 1925 and 1932.
Lot 771. Bound Volumes of The New York Times for Parts of 1921, 1925 and 1932. Connoisseurs of sports and international and domestic events alike will find an abundance of informative reading in these three professionally bound volumes, once housed in the Handley Library of Winchester, VA. The volumes cover Sept. 18-Nov. 17, 1921, and June 1-June 15, 1925 and 1932. Baseball fans will find coverage of the 1925 and 1932 pennant races, as well as the 1921 World Series between the Giants and the Yankees. For those less interested in sports, Times’ articles provide insights into the fallout from World War I and its contribution to World War II. The Sunday Rotogravures are included, and one pictures both Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. Each volume is about 19” x 23”, ex, and heavy. These volumes are much more interesting than those novels that the masters of hype claim you can’t put down. Once you open one of the volumes, you will want to keep turning to the next page, and the next.
