Lot 739. Rare 1939 Heinz Modern Aviation Album Containing 14 F277-2 Famous Airplanes Cards. All 14 of the cards are pasted into the album in the space provided. They exhibit strong colors and have an ex-m appearance as pasted in. They represent over ½ of the set of 25. The cards in this set are scarce, and the album almost never turns up. It is pictured on page 75 of the number 2 Sports Americana Price Guide to the Non-Sports Cards published in 1983. Tuberculosis holiday stamps with period graphics from 1924, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35 and 36 are affixed to the inside front cover.
