Lot 666.  1939 California–Stanford Big Game Dinner Dance Program and Menu. The front of the program features the caricature of a football player in red with the words “BIG GAME” above his head in blue. Inside, the menu appears on the right hand side page and on the left hand side page the text reads “California – Stanford Big Game Dinner Dance Saturday, November 25, 1939 in Peacock court featuring Orrin Tucker and his orchestra Hotel Mark Hopkins Geo. D. Smith, general manager.”

Lot 667.  1940 Mayflower Donut Ad Featuring Football Hall of Fame Lineman Mel Hein. This black and white ad, which measures 4 ¾” x 11 ¼”, is mounted on slightly larger hardboard. It would look nice framed. Nm appearance. One of football’s Iron Men, Hein spent his entire 15-season career with the New York Giants.

Lot 668.  First Edition: Both Volumes of Vince Lombardi on Football with Matching Slipcase. These hardbound volumes were published in 1973 by the New York Graphic Society Ltd., and Wallynn, Inc. Each 224 page book has a green leather cover. The nm volumes are loaded with photographs and Lombardi’s philosophies.

Lot 671.  2 Different Limited Edition Highland Mint Medallions of Drew Bledsoe. 1. “Elite Medallion Limited Edition Silver,” #0855 of 2,500. It contains 1.5 troy ounces - .999 fine silver. 2. “Elite Medallion Limited Edition Two-Tone,” #0853 of 1,000. This one also has 1.5 troy ounces of 999 fine silver, but with 24k gold overlay. Each comes in the original jeweler’s case with a Certificate of Authenticity. Both are mint.

Lot 672.  7 Different Highland Mint Limited Edition Silver Football Player Medallions. Issued in 1994-95, these medallions each contain one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. Highland issued 7,500 of each medallion. Each comes in the original jeweler’s case with a Certificate of Authenticity. All are mint. Players are Troy Aikman, Drew Bledsoe, Kerry Collins, Michael Irvin, Rick Mirer, Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders.

Lot 678.  1949-54 Stanley Woodward’s Football - Complete Run of First 6 Issues. These magazines were published by Dell. Each features a college football player in action on its colorful front cover. Both college and professional players are featured on the inside pages. Photos and articles abound. 1949 first issue vg-ex cover, ex-m inside pages. 1950 vg cover, ex inside pages. 1951 ex cover, ex-m+ inside pages. 1952 vg-ex cover ex-m+ inside pages. 1953 vg-ex cover, nm inside pages, 1954 vg+ to ex cover, nm inside pages.

Lot 679.  1950 New York Yanks at New York Giants Football Program. In 1950 New York City had two NFL teams, the Giants and the Yanks. Fielding such stars as Em Tunnell, Charley Conerly, Eddie Price, Arnie Weinmeister, Tom Landry and Al de Rogatis, the Giants routed the Yanks in this Dec.3 game at the Polo Grounds, 51-7. The Yanks had several players who had successful NFL careers- Buddy Young, George Ratterman and George Taliaferro. After the 1951 season, Yanks’ franchise folded. The cover of the program is ex. Inside, the original owner affixed to advertising pages the ticket stub and newspaper clippings for the game, as well as ads and a ticket stub for other New York events. A scarce and desirable program.

Lot 680.  Professional Football – 1953 Year Book of the National Football League. This exceptional publication grades ex. The full-color cover features an artist's rendering of a quarterback and the NFL logo in a circle along with the logos of the 12 teams then in the league. Photos of individual players and their respective teams abound on the 80 inside pages. Players include: George Blanda, Otto Graham, Lou Groza, Bobby Layne, Crazylegs Hirsch, Frank Gifford, Chuck Bednarik, Ernie Stautner, Y.A. Title and Hugh McElhenny.
