Lot 692. Bold Autograph of NFL Star Lyle Alzado on an Unlined Index Card. Below his sharpie signature, which is a gem mint 10, Alzado added his uniform number, “77.” In 1977, he was the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Year. Five years later, he was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year. His career spanned 1971-85 with the Broncos, Browns and Raiders. Alzado also appeared in a two movies, “Ernest Goes to Camp” and “Destroyer.” He was one of the first stars to acknowledge that he had abused steroids. He died in 1992 at the age of 43.
