Professional baseball player for eight years during the 1880s and evangelist there after, Sunday was one of the most influential religious figures of his time. On the postcard, he appears with his wife and their four children on the steps of their home in Indiana. This well focused and contrasted photo illustrates nicely the dress and architectural style of the period. The unused real photo postcard is g-vg with an appearance that is at least vg.
