Lot 20. Authenticated Boris Karloff Signature Dated 1951, Frankenstein Photo. Karloff became a star by playing Frankenstein’s monster in the 1931 movie “Frankenstein.” He reprised the role in “Bride of Frankenstein” (1935) and “Son of Frankenstein” (1939). In the 10 ¼” x 12 ¼” matted and framed display offered here, a 5” x 6” black and white photo shows Karloff as the monster. Below the photo is a large pencil cut with his signature. The cut measures about 1 ½” x 5” and grades nm-m 8 with a slight stain behind the “B.” Below the autograph is the notation: “Boris Karloff, Fall 1951.” Letter of Authenticity from James Spence.
