Lot 275. Signed Handwritten Letter with a Humorous Golf Story from Hale Irwin. On a 5 ½” x 8 ½” sheet of paper headed “From The Desk Of - Hale Irwin” he writes: “After searching for only a moment for my ball, the gallery laughter indicated to me that something was not quite right. I soon was informed that my ball had lodged in a soft place – in a woman’s bra! I was admittedly embarrassed, but we all had a good laugh.” Irwin’s blue-ballpoint signature is a 10 that could be improved only - if it were written in embarrassment red.
