Lot 36. 1950s Yankees Beer Display with Gallo Art of DiMaggio, Others. This wonderful display piece, which promotes Ballantine beer, features artwork by Bill Gallo, famed New York Daily News cartoonist. Gallo prominently depicts Mel Allen, “The Voice of the Yankees,” who holds a frothy mug of Ballantine. Surrounding him are players making various baseball moves - Joe DiMaggio, Tom Henrich, Vic Raschi and Allie Reynolds. Very attractive display measuring 10 ½” x 13 ¼”.
