The rivalry between the Yanks and “Dem” Bums is perhaps baseball’s most storied. In 1947, the Yankees defeated the Dodgers to capture the World Championship in seven games. This program from one of the games is unscored with a vg-ex cover and ex-m inside pages. Players pictured include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and rookie sensation Jackie Robinson. The middle two pages are loose. The 1955 Series was the first and only time that the Dodgers won a World Series. Johnny Podres pitched a nine-inning shutout to win the deciding seventh game, 2-0. This scored program is from the sixth game, which the Yankees won, 5-1. Yankee and Dodger greats are pictured throughout this vg-ex program.
