Lot 720. 5 1960s Time Covers Autographed by South Vietnam Leaders. Covers only, which were folded for mailing. 1. Madame Ngo Dihn Nhu, born Tran Le Xuan. Called the “Dragon Lady” by critics, she was a force in South Vietnam politics when the country was led by her husband’s brother, Ngo Dihn Diem, 1955-63. Signature is an ex-m 6 to nm 7. 2. Gen. Duong Van Minh, Army chief who led the country briefly after overthrowing Diem. Nm-m 8 signature. 3. Nguyen Khanh, who led the coup against Minh and became Chief of State. Mint 9 signature. 4. Nguyen Cao Ky, Prime Minister, 1965-67. Signature grades 9. 5. Nguyen Van Thieu, President from 1967 until the fall of Saigon in 1975. He died in 2001. Signed “Thieu.” Signature is a 10 with “Nov. 16, 1967” added. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
