Lot 577. 4 Photos Signed by Heavy-weight Champion Floyd Patterson. Three of these printed pictures are 11” x 17” with the bottom corners cut out. The fourth has the border trimmed away and is 7 ¾” x 15”. They show Patterson standing over Archie Moore. On Nov. 30, 1956, at the age of 21, Patterson became the youngest world heavyweight champion by knocking out Moore in the fifth round of their bout in Chicago. A caption below the picture incorrectly lists the date of the match as Aug. 30. Two of the untrimmed photos and the trimmed photo are vg+ to ex. The fourth is vg with some pinholes. In the wide border below each photo, Patterson signed in large, bold blue sharpie. The signatures are great examples, grading gem mint 10. Patterson died last year. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
