Cochrane provides instructions in his 1939 book, “Baseball: The Fan’s Game,” 1939 stated first edition hardback, no dj, vg book, owner’s name inside. Spalding’s advice comes in three 1930s paperbacks. John B. Foster wrote two 1935 books, “How to Bat,” No 80R, “Red Cover” Series, vg-ex, and “How to Catch and How to Run Bases,” No. 496, ex. The third volume, unattributed, is “How to Pitch,” No. 479, 1934, vg-ex. Pictures of future Hall of Fame players illustrate all three. Also, “A Thinking Man’s Guide to Baseball” by Leonard Koppett, 1967, ex dj, nm book.
