Lot 21. 1925 Pittsburgh Sun Supplement of the World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. This supplement features a black and white team photograph of the 1925 World Series champion Pirates. It is professionally framed to 12” x 19”. The supplement identifies the players pictured. They include: Barney Dreyfuss, president; Bill McKechnie, manager; Fred Clarke, assistant manager; Max Carey, captain and center field; Ki Ki Cuyler, right field; Pie Traynor, third base; Babe Adams, pitcher; and many others. There is creasing throughout the piece. The clarity and contrast of the photo are superb. It makes for a wonderful display of the great Pirates team that bested the Washington Senators and their peerless pitcher Walter Johnson in the 7th game to capture the World Championship.
