Lot 170. 1962 Chicago White Sox Home Jersey Made for Cal McLish. Prior to the 1962 season, the White Sox traded McLish to the Phillies. The jersey was then worn in 1963-64 spring training by an unknown player. This information is paraphrased from the letter of opinion indicating authenticity from Mears; the letter accompanies the jersey. McLish was brought directly from American Legion ball to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1944. He then pitched for several years in the Pacific Coast League. In 1958 he went 16 and 8 with the Cleveland Indians, and improved to 19-8 in 1959.
